Outline of August 8, 2011 Board Meeting
New officers were elected: President, Fay DeFrank; Vice-President, Sterling Harvell; Secretary, Sandra Porter; Treasurer, Susan Taylor.
Guest Director Staci Robbins met everyone, and reported on the progress of auditions for Lost in Yonkers, and the need to find a 1940’s looking sofa sleeper.
Troy Howe and Cindy Sweet had requested to hold their wedding reception at the theatre, and submitted a list of questions which the board discussed and approved. No date had been chosen at this time.
STAR Night plans and snippets were underway and going well. Both the annual report and copies of the 5 Year Plan would be available at STAR Night for patrons to read.
Procedures were reviewed for Ushers, and it was decided that the Usher vests be reinstituted. A box office workshop will be held after Labor Day, for the coming season. The board also agreed to elicit help from Serve Wyoming in finding better ways to recruit, train, and support volunteers.
The City Grant request has been turned in. The bid from Anderson Signs for a new marquee was approved, and Sterling volunteered to clear the flats away from the prop room windows, to ascertain what needs to be done before they can be repaired.
Four requests for Benefit night performances had been received, and were all approved.
